Saturday Day One: Few sights on Earth can match the splendor
and beauty of Autumn in New England. Your fall foliage tour begins today
when you leave your home city and fly to Bradley International Airport
in Hartford, Connecticut. Here you will be greeted in the luggage area
by a tour representative of New England Vacation Tours Inc., where you
will be transferred to the Doubletree Inn for your evening lodging. This
evening you will join us for your Welcome to New England dinner at the
Doubletree Inn.
Sunday Day Two: Breakfast is on your own this morning
as we check out of the Doubletree Inn and board our deluxe motorcoach and
head southeast to Mystic, Connecticut. This morning we shall visit Mystic
Seaport, an experience you will remember. We shall explore the magnificent
World of the great sailing vessels and the men and women who made them
and took them to sea. Savor the life in the central coastal New England
Village where the women managed the home and the children and were an integral
part of life at sea and ashore. Lunch is your own today and can be purchased
at the Village of Mystic. This afternoon we shall visit Groton, Connecticut
the submarine base, and home of the USS Nautilus Submarine. Our lodging
this evening will be at the Hilltop Inn & Suites Hotel located in North
Stonington, Connecticut. This evening we shall visit the world's second
largest casino, The Mohegan Sun Casino which is located on the Mohegan
Indian Reservation, with over 4,500 slot machines, and over 350 table
games, from Black Jack to Poker, Craps, Roulette and Baccarat, plus a
variety of shops for your browsing. A Dinner buffet is included this
evening, and will be served at your own convenience right at the Mohegan Sun
Casino. We shall leave the casino around 9:45pm.
Monday Day Three: Breakfast is on your own today, as we
check out of our hotel and head northeast towards Boston, Massachusetts.
This morning we shall visit and explore Olde Sturbridge Village, the entire
village is typical of the 1800's with more than 40 houses, shops and public
buildings that vividly recreate the early American era. Lunch is on your
own today, and can be purchased
right at Olde Sturbridge Village. Early this afternoon, we leave for Boston,
Massachusetts…the birthplace of the American Revolution. This afternoon
we shall have a two hour guided tour of Boston and see such sites as; The
First Church of Christ Scientist "Mother Church", The Boston Freedom Trail,
Old North Church, Quincy Hall Marketplace and visit and tour the USS Constitution
which is more affectionately known as "Old Ironsides", the oldest commissionable
ship in the U.S. Navy fleet today. Our lodging this evening will be at
The King's Grant Inn. Dinner is included once again this evening.
Tuesday Day Four: Breakfast is on your own this morning
as we check out of our hotel and head north to Montreal, Canada. Our first
stop today will be in Concord, New Hampshire the state capital of New Hampshire.
This morning we shall step back 200 years and experience the Shaker way
of life. Today we shall visit the Canterbury Shaker Village, a national
historic landmark with 25 original buildings situated on a rolling hilltop
surrounded by open fields, woodlots and ponds. An informative and fascinating
guided tour will introduce the customs, inventions, furniture, architecture
and values of this utopian society. Watch crafts begin made in the Shaker
tradition, including oval boxes, brooms, poplarware and dovetailed totes.
Lunch is on your own today and can be purchased in Concord, New Hampshire.
From here we shall visit The Lava Mountain Ranges, of the beautiful White
Mountains of New Hampshire, with it's spectacular view of New England's
Fall Foliage. This afternoon we shall visit the beautiful Franconia Notch
State Park (The Home of The "Old Man of The Mountains"). From here we shall
cross the Canadian border into Magog, Canada. Our lodging for the next
two nights will be in downtown Montreal, Canada. Dinner
is included this evening. On your own this evening, you can explore the
beautiful nightlife of Montreal, Canada. Or you can visit the Casino De
Montreal, a full service European style Casino. The Casino is open until
3:00 AM. (A valid US Passport or the new passport ID card is now needed to enter into Canada and re-entry back into the United States – for non US Citizens you will need a valid passport from country of origin & visa card as well as to enter Canada and return back into the United States you may need a multiply re-entry visa card for multiply entry into the USA and Canada. )
Wednesday Day Five: Breakfast is on your own this morning.
This morning we shall have a three-hour city tour of the beautiful Cosmopolitan
City of Montreal. Our tour this morning will begin in Old Montreal (The
French Quarters) with its cobbled streets and classic architecture.
We shall also visit
Mount Royal, the famous lookout over the city with its spectacular view
of Montreal and the surrounding countryside. Plus we shall visit, Olympic
Park and Stadium, Mc Gill University, Saint Joseph Oratory, a world renowned
landmark which towers 500 feet above Montreal and attracts millions of
pilgrims a year for the miraculous healings that have occurred there over
the years, plus a guided tour of the underground city of Montreal and so
much more to see and do. This afternoon and evening is your to enjoy as you see fit.
We can drop you off in the French Quarters area where you can explore the
beautiful Notre Dame Basilica, which was built in 1829. Dinner will also be
on your own this evening in the downtown Montreal area.
Thursday Day Six: Breakfast is on your own this morning.
This morning we leave Montreal and head south to the beautiful Green Mountains
of Vermont. Lunch is on your own today and can be purchased in the beautiful
township of Burlington, Vermont located on Lake Champlain. This afternoon
we shall visit the famous Shelburne Museum. The Shelburne Museum is "a
museum to make
all collectors stand in amazement". The museum is set in a 35 acre park-like
arrangement of floral gardens, ornamental shrubs and fruit trees. Dinner
is included once again this evening. Our lodging this evening will be in
the Lake Champlain area.
Friday Day Seven: Breakfast is on your own again this
morning. After we check out of our hotel, we shall visit the state capital
of Vermont, Montpelier. Vermont's state capital is the smallest capital
city in America. Then we shall visit's Vermont's Little Grand Canyon, Quechee
Gorge. Lunch is on your own today, and can be purchased in one of New England's
most beautiful and picturesque villages, Woodstock, Vermont. This afternoon
we shall visit Plymouth, Vermont, the birthplace of our 30th President
of The United States, President Calvin Coolidge…while at the restored village
you will see the homestead, carriage barns, house of worship and the general
store just as they were during the Coolidge era (time permitting). Late
this afternoon we shall work our way down the mountains of Vermont, back
to the Doubletree Inn at Bradley International Airport. We cap off our
tour of New England USA and Montreal, Canada this evening with a refreshing
and relaxing farewell dinner at our hotel.
Saturday Day Eight: Breakfast is on your own this
morning. This morning at your convenience you may check out of the hotel
and take one of the hotel courtesy vans back to the airport to make your
return trip home. With many fond memories of New England USA & Montreal,
Canada, and of your newfound friends in New England.
